Written Portraits

Di Sherlock’s poetry residency is part of our research in ‘People Like You’: Contemporary Figures of Personalisation. It took place alongside a Science Café series and fieldwork in Charing Cross Hospital and Imperial College London on the theme of personalised cancer medicine and care. All three strands reflect the requirement to participate in order to personalise.

They reflect too on the categories that emerge through participating, categories with which you might or might not identify and in which you might or might not recognise yourself. Personalising practices fold responses into data and so categories of ‘people like you’ change constantly.
